Special Personal Data
Special personal data is the data related to the person's race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, appearance and dress, association, foundation or union membership, health, sexual life, criminal conviction and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.
Special personal data requires higher protection compared to other data categories. It is regulated under the KVKK that additional information must be provided for the processing of such data.

It is processed based on the legal reasons stated in the article; “Personal data related to health and sexual life can only be processed for the purposes of protecting public health, conducting preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment and care services, planning and management of health services and their financing, by persons or authorized institutions and organizations under the obligation of confidentiality, without the explicit consent of the person concerned.”

2. To Whom and For What Purposes Can Your Personal Data Be Transferred?

● To Authorized Public Institutions and Organizations for the purposes of conducting activities in accordance with the legislation within the scope stipulated by the legal regulation, providing information to authorized persons, institutions and organizations, fulfilling obligations arising from employment contracts and legislation for employees, monitoring and conducting legal affairs,
● To Affiliates and Subsidiaries for the purposes of conducting information security processes, conducting/auditing business activities, planning human resources processes, conducting storage and archive activities, conducting finance and accounting affairs and conducting contract processes,
● To Supplier Authorities and Employees for the purposes of conducting activities in accordance with the legislation, conducting supply chain management processes, conducting/auditing business activities and conducting logistics activities,
● To Business Partners for the purposes of conducting sales processes of goods or services, conducting marketing processes of products or services, conducting marketing analysis studies and conducting advertising/campaign/promotion processes,
● Only Employees Personal data of the candidates may be transferred to our Group Companies, subject to the permission they will give in this regard; in order for the group companies to carry out more effective human resources policies and processes, to be able to offer an alternative or better position to the Employee Candidate whose job application is rejected within our other group companies when necessary, and to create a candidate pool.
By complying with the rules in Article 8 of the KVKK regarding Transfer or Article 9 regarding Transfer Abroad and by taking the necessary technical and administrative measures, only the amount necessary for the realization of the relevant purpose may be transferred.
3. How Long Will Your Personal Data Be Stored?
If a period of time is specified for the storage of your personal data in the law or relevant legislation, the data in question must be stored for at least this period. If a period is not stipulated in the law or relevant legislation; it is stored for reasonable periods determined in connection with the purposes of processing, limited and proportionate.
4. What are Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data as a Relevant Person?

In accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, the Data Subject must provide the following information in his/her application: name, surname, signature if the application is in writing, Turkish Republic identity number (nationality if the applicant is a foreigner), passport number.

In addition, the application must include identity and address information and documents confirming the identity must be attached to the application.
Requests made by unauthorized third parties on behalf of someone else will not be evaluated.
6. How Long Does It Take to Respond to Your Requests Regarding the Processing of Your Personal Data?
Your requests regarding your personal data will be evaluated and responded to as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest from the date they reach Vatan. If your request is accepted or rejected with an explanation of the reason, our response will be sent to you by post or e-mail to the address you specified in the application, and if possible, by the same method as your request.
