THE REIGN OF SULTAN ABDULHAMID II PALESTINE

Sultan Abdulhamid II, who famously said, "Every picture is an idea," commissioned photographs of various parts of the Ottoman Empire. Approximately 1,300 photographs of Palestinian cities were studied from the Yıldız Photograph Albums, along with 400 photos from the U.S. Library of Congress and around 200 from the New York Public Library. From these, 293 photos were carefully selected for their expressive power, with many having never been published before, covering the Palestinian region without regard to borders.

The book on Palestine during the Reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II is organized according to the administrative divisions of the early 1900s, featuring Jerusalem, Nablus, and Acre sanjaks. This work presents Palestine comprehensively and brings it together for the first time in a single volume.

Published in Turkish by Demirören Publishing in a limited edition of only 1,000 copies, the book is presented to enthusiasts in a special box with a carrying case.
