Mehmet Kaplan was a student of Tanpınar. The author of this book, Orhan Okay, is a student of both Tanpınar and Mehmet Kaplan, and he is also a pivotal figure. For many years, he has written various articles about Tanpınar and interpreted his works. In this work by Okay, readers will find a biography of Tanpınar, compiled from previously unaccessible sources and enriched with countless details, as well as many photographs. We have used our archive of Tanpınar photographs, which we have been building for years, in this book.
