From the emergence of literature as an art form, the behavior of society and political actors has somehow been present within this art form.
Looking at the trajectory of Turkish literature in the modern period, a picture emerges that lends itself to many interpretations regarding how history and the present are perceived and how the future is intended to be built upon this perception.
The first volume of Professor Dr. Sema Uğurcan's writings, which we have classified in two volumes, has been prepared by focusing on this relationship between history and literature. Uğurcan, who is interested in history and the stories of historical figures as much as literature, has compiled the writings she has produced throughout her career within this framework in this book.
Given that she was a student of Mehmet Kaplan, we believe that bringing this book to the reader will be beneficial, hoping to further highlight an academic circle and approach.
