Layla and Majnun
Whether Fuzûlî had not seen the earlier Layla and Majnun mesnevis written before him, or had seen them but found them unsatisfactory, the subject was perfectly suited to his temperament. Through it, he found an opportunity to express his own emotions and mystical ideas. Employing a language appropriate to the flow of the narrative, the poet demonstrated his mastery of words and poetic expression.
