Calligraphic Figurative Art

This calligraphy piece features the phrase "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" written in Arabic calligraphy. This expression means "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" and is used in Islam at the beginning of each chapter of the Quran (except for Surah Al-Fatiha).


Calligrapher Osman Yılmazer was born in Istanbul in 1973. He graduated from the Department of Textile Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Having received training from Adnan Çoker and Ali Alparslan, Yılmazer continues his artistic work in his own studio.
